Abstract :
The two requirements of Finite impulse response (FIR)filters are reconfigurability and low complexity. These two are used in multistandard wireless communication systems. Here i have proposed reconfigurable and low complex FIRs, namely constant shifts method and programmable shifts method. This architecture as the capacity to operate over varies wordlength coefficient of the filter. This is not having any circuitry overhead. we can implement reconfigurable filter using common subexpression elimination program effectively. and also, it easy to prove that this will offer good area, improved speed & power reduction than the existing one.
