Abstract
When several fuzzy logic stabilizers work simultaneously in a power system, their tuning is often mandatory. In this paper an optimization problem is formulated to achieve this aim and a genetic algorithm is proposed to solve it. Genetic algorithms are often the only practicable way when the problem is not a smooth one and cannot be solved with conventional techniques. The numerical results obtained on a test power system prove the effectiveness of the proposed approach.
