Abstract :
The pressing need for computer assisted seismic interpretation tools leads us to suggest a new method for the segmentation of seismic data into regions of different internal configurations. The method, commonly known as watershedding, is used to segment the seismic data based on reflector spacing and continuity. Results on real seismic data show that the method is very powerful. Furthermore, the method is well suited to fuse different sources of a priori information.
