Abstract
The clear air radars are widely used for measuring the wind field with good height and time resolutions. The ST mode of the Indian MST Radar has become operational recently for scientific observations. This paper reports horizontal velocities made on 26.3.´92. to present an intercomparison between radar and observations from Madras. The radar observations show the repeatability and self consistency in the height profiles of meridional wind and zonal wind components. When radar wind measurements are made the two profiles showed same trend
