Abstract :
We present full 3D simulations of OPCPA which show for the first time that a DOE can be used to reshape the pump beam of an OPCPA amplifier with no detrimental effects. The additional geometric phase introduced by the DOE causes little change in the efficiency, while the flat-top intensity profile increases the energy transfer by a factor of 2.5 compared to the case of a Gaussian spatial profile pump.
