Abstract :
show that soliton waveguides (SWGs) can be written fast using a blue-violet laser diode at λ=405nm. At this wavelength, the writing process is strongly improved in terms of writing time and input power. Comparing the writing process in green, at λ=532nm, to that in blue-violet, for the same lithium niobate (LN) crystal and SWG parameters, the writing time at λ=405nm decreases with two orders of magnitude and the input beam intensity decreases with four orders of magnitude.
