Abstract :
Here, we examine in details the applicability of the linear Raman gain approximation in the context of SC generation by comparing simulations that assume a linear Raman response with simulations using a full experimental Raman response curve. We consider differences in the spectral and temporal dynamics as well as in stability characteristics for typical SC generation with input pulses in the 50 fs 4 ps range.
