Abstract :
In this work 2D-PhC multi-mode waveguides fabricated in InP-based materials are investigated for filter and sensing applications focusing on the MSB due to coupling between the first and fifth order modes. The investigated devices include both standard three-row missing waveguides and single-junction heretostructure waveguides.
