Abstract :
Since the beginning of the 21st century, the overall size of China´s modern logistics industry has been growing rapidly. It is playing a more and more important role in promoting the development of the national economy. This paper analyzes the changes of contribution by logistics industry in China to the national economy based on the national 42 sectors´ input-output tables in 2002 and 2007, using input-output method. It can be concluded that contribution of the logistics Industry to GDP in China increases on the whole by comparison. However, its components, backward ripple effect and consumption ripple effect of the logistics industry, decrease. On the basis of the conclusion this paper analyzes the problems in development of China´s logistics industry and proposes coping strategies, enabling China´s logistics industry to become a new growth point of the national economy.
