Abstract :
Experimental large aperture phased array antennas made of microstrip antennas (MSA) have been reported recently. It is difficult to design a feed line of a phased array antenna which uses a scanning shaped beam for the desired beam shaping[1]. We made an experimental phased array antenna which has a multi-layer substrate for horizontal scanning and a shaped elevation pattern. The antenna size is about 4m2.
