Abstract
This paper describes a new approach for the realization of intelligent workflow management systems (WfMSs). It analyses how the technologies of neural networks and fuzzy systems can be used to enable WfMSs to control workflows that are only similar to those workflow definitions that are known as predefined. These neuro-fuzzy workflow management systems can be used to enable today´s organisations to quickly react on market changes and support process execution in the future virtual enterprise
