Abstract :
This paper presents the characterization of the Wi-Fi antenna system when mounted on a remote controlled helicopter. The effects of the body structure and the tail of the helicopter on the radiation pattern of the antennas will be discussed in detail. The effects of the rotating blades on the propagating signal are also studied. This system is useful for surveillance and telecommunication applications.
