Abstract
A scheme using the Tabu search is proposed for optimal planning of dynamic voltage restorer (DVR) on a distribution system. The proposed scheme is posed as a multiobjective optimization problem for maximizing a fuzzy performance index, which represents the cost expenditure of installed DVR, voltage sag enhancement on sensitive loads and overall voltage improvement in the distribution network
