Abstract
The process, to model a garment design system using object-oriented technology based on UML, is introduced in this paper. A new method is applied in developing garment design system, which is called object-oriented UML, different from the traditional flow-based C language method. From core to edge, a screw tape method is used to design the functions of the system with a clear hierarchy, providing a new and recommendable method for garment design. Garment design platform is mainly composed by two modules: the garment selecting module which is based on different human body size and shape; the geometric designing module which is used to design the garments¿ concrete shape.
