Abstract :
The accurate measurement of the dot area during the process of flexographic plate making and printing is of great significance to the enhancement of flexographic printing quality. The flexographic printing dot measurement instrument PDMIABM is presented. PDMIABM uses the proposed dot measurement algorithm ABMMPD based on adaptive background method to measure the dot geometric parameters such as percentage dot area. ABMMPD can automatically eliminate the influence which is caused by illumination and so on. The experimental results show that ABMMPD can measure the dot geometric parameters more accurately than previous methods.
