  • Abstract
The main tower of Daxie second bridge looks like a sail. The sailing main tower may be influent by lateral wind load for locating on the sea side. In this paper, the construction process of the main tower was simulated in detail. That influence caused by lateral wind load was studied and the role of tie bar and crossbars was discussed when suffering wind load and only gravity. At the stage of the full tower completed, the stress was mainly caused by gravity and less by wind load. During the concrete tower constructed, tie bar helped greatly to reduce the stress, but the influence of crossbars was not obvious.
