Abstract :
Several new reversible wavelet transforms for image compression are constructed. These new transforms are then employed in a simple embedded image coder and their effectiveness for compression is analyzed. The results obtained compare favorably with results obtained using systems employing more sophisticated coding schemes, thus demonstrating the effectiveness of the new transforms
