Abstract
New generation e-commerce applications require data schemas that are constantly evolving and sparsely populated. This paper describes the design of a model as well as an architecture to provide support for distributed advanced workflow transactions. We also consider the problem of online workflow database reorganization. We complement out algorithms with experimental results.
