Abstract
A full-wave analysis of superconducting planar transmission lines is presented. The approach holds for arbitrary values of conductor thickness and does not rely on approximations such as the skin-effect description or the resistive boundary condition. The paper gives results on CPW propagation quantities studying both conductor-thickness dependence and frequency characteristics. It is shown that the state-of-the-art high-Tc superconductor materials can be used to fabricate miniaturized CPW structures with excellent dispersion and low-loss properties up to 100 GHz.
