Abstract
Adopting the means of flexible multi-body dynamics and finite element method, the dynamic characteristics of a certain single-cylinder diesel engine crankshaft are analyzed. Comparing with the traditional method, the dynamic stress boundary condition, which is obtained through the method of non-linear multi-body dynamics analysis, is accurate and credible. Dynamic stress recovery results show that the maximum stress of crankshaft fillet is not occurred at the moment under the biggest pressure of the cylinder, it mainly caused by axial compression of the larger centrifugal balance weight.
