Abstract :
This paper describes the analysis, re-engineering, implementation, and related results of improving metrics, operation methodologies, and supporting factory systems for manufacturing planning, dispatching, execution, and control of Texas Instruments DFAB. DFAB is a mixed signal analog wafer fab and probe operations facility producing about 3000 active devices grouped in about 20 technologies in 2 integrated manufacturing lines, 150 mm and 200 mm with approximately 30,000 wafer starts per month of highly variable product mix demand
