  • Abstract
Heavy metals can be absorbed from soils and atmospheric dust and accumulated by vegetables, and then ingested by human body through the food chains. They are very harmful to human health. Some statistic analysis experiments are executed by taking vegetables, soils from their roots and atmosphere dust in Qingdao district as research objects. First, this paper uses geochemistry method to analyze the heavy metals of vegetables. And then we adopt the Spearman related coefficient analysis method to analyze the relationships among the heavy metals in vegetables, soils from their roots and atmospheric dust. Analysis results show that rhizome vegetables have strongest capability in accumulating heavy metals from their soil. In contrast, fruit vegetables have weakest capability. Fruit vegetables, leaf vegetables and rhizome vegetables can cooperatively absorb heavy metals. Especially, rhizome vegetables do best. Besides, heavy metals in soils have promoting or inhibiting effect on fruit vegetables, leaf vegetables and rhizome vegetables. The heavy metals in atmosphere dust do not have obvious influence on leaf vegetables and rhizome vegetables, while have obvious influence on fruit vegetables. The results gotten from this paper can provide evidence to control city air pollution and to strengthen abatement of heavy metals pollution in soils.
