Abstract :
Based on the researches of software component and the performance-sensitive characteristic of hardware component used in core router, a model of hardware component is proposed. And then, a formal description of this model, including function, resource consumption and performance (the most important one), is built up. At last, according to the model proposed in this paper, a congestion control component is designed.
