Abstract
The global energy crisis and environmental concerns have been significantly increasing the pressure for cleaner and more efficient generation of electricity. With the social economic development, power supply and demand keeps on increasing. For sustainable developing, the power industry has actively developed the renewable energy while raising the utilization efficiency of conventional energy in China. Power industry belongs to an energy-intensive and high-emission industry, therefore energy conservation and emissions reduction in power industry is more important than in other industries. Giving priority to renewable cleaner energy by energy-saving generation dispatch is one of available approaches for sustainable developing of energy utilizing. This paper presents effects and influences on energy conservation and emissions reduction in Chinese power industry, and significance of energy-saving generation dispatch for sustainable developing of energy utilizing. Finally, a few of examples implementing the energy saving generation dispatch in some provincial power grids are given.
