Abstract :
Tunable microstrip ring resonators are simple to integrate in MIC or MMIC components. They suffer, however, from the problem of unwanted modes close to the tunable modes. This paper describes the theory, modelling and practical demonstration of a novel method of suppressing such unwanted modes.
