Abstract :
Despite wide use of multi-dimensional image data in clinical environment, current image reading by radiologists is mostly performed based on 2D display of PACS terminal. Various types of commercial-based medical workstations are provided to enhance image reading with 3D visualization and other diagnostic support, but they are not enough for researches of new image analysis techniques. In this short paper, a multi-dimensional image viewer system, VOLUME-ONE, is described and several extension modules such as diffusion MRI analysis are also shown with examples of analysis results in clinical research.
