Abstract :
In this paper, we present a few-mode compatible optical add/drop multiplexer (OADM) which can perform add/drop functionalities for mode-division multiplexed signals. The few-mode compatible OADM consists of two thin-film filters with 5° incident angle. The measured OSNR penalty for add, drop, and through channels are 2.6, 2.4, 0.7 dB, respectively.
