Abstract
Analytical and numerical approximations of the losses in the radiating element and the integrated feeding-matching network (IFMN) of printed thick-film high-Tc, superconductor (HTS) antennas are presented and compared with measured data. Efficiency measurements are performed using four low frequency experimental and hybrid-experimental techniques. Conductor and dielectric losses can degrade the performance of the YBa2Cu3O7¿x antenna circuit and have to be considered in optimum efficiency and SNR designs.
