  • Abstract
There is a great deal of information, which is pertinent to geographical location and difficult to manage using traditional management methods during the course of managing radio station. Web geographical information system (WEBGIS) can organize and deal with the above information effectively. Consequently, the WEBGIS of managing radio station, which is one of the sub-systems of the whole information platform of Administrative Bureau of Radio Stations (ABRS) and mainly achieves the operation relevant to spatial location, is constructed in this paper. We describe mainly the construction process of the WEBGIS in detail, including architecture structure, spatial data storage, organization and management, concrete function, the key technologies of implementation and application. The WEBGIS, along with the other sub-systems of the whole ABRS project, has had a tentative running in ABRS of China and the effect is good.
