Abstract :
Traditional decision-making methods usually provide the description of statistical information, which is difficult to obtain spatial knowledge. On the other hand, it is easy to display the spatial information by GIS, but the technique of GIS seems not so effective in analysis of complex decision-making problem, when most data are ¿non-spatial¿. This paper particularly analyzes the process of decision-making by analytical hierarchy process, and puts forward a method of integrating GIS with it. Moreover based on the data from China city statistical yearbook and national basic geographic database, the comprehensive competitiveness of cities in China is analyzed and evaluated by this method.
