Abstract :
The publication of an ISO Guide on uncertainty evaluation has made clear the definition of this parameter and suggested suitable procedures for its computation. These procedures however start from conventional principles and use more or less subjective data derived from the personal experience of the operator so that they may be a source of controversial interpretations when applied to acceptance tests, such as those required for assessing the quality of an industrial product
