Abstract
Remote sensing data sets have found wide spread use in a variety of real world applications. Among the numerous applications, products related to agriculture and disaster mitigation are particularly of interest because of the requirements for timely delivery of data. This article reviews the current capabilities of existing sensors for these applications, and discusses ways to improve the timely delivery of data to the users of NASA´s Earth Observing System´s Data and Information System
