Abstract
To realize the control strategy of half-opened cascaded hydro plants, this paper presents two models for three stage cascaded hydropower stations. The two models both apply the construction of two PID in parallel but they take different water level feedbacks. Applying the two models to a three stage cascaded hydropower station, the results of simulation show two models both achieve the combined control of turbine speed and water level of open channel and the second model is better than the first one.
