Abstract :
This paper presents an improved delta modulation scheme, which combines the advantages of both the delta and sine-PWM modulation schemes. The development of the proposed modulation scheme and the simulation results of a SIMULINK implementation of an induction motor drive based on the proposed scheme are presented. The results show that the proposed scheme provides improved performance in terms of lower-order harmonic attenuation, sub-harmonic elimination and machine de-rating. An experimental implementation of the proposed scheme is also provided
