Abstract :
A spatial soil erosion model is developed to assess the benefits of reforestation placements in soil erosion. In the model, connections among the cells are set up by runoff, we suppose that the total soil erosion in each cell is determined by two main parts, the soil loss calculated by USLE model and the sediment yield delivered from the upland. The results show that the most effective reforestation placement is not always the area with the highest slope as we usually think, and the efficiency of reforestation placement depends on whether spatial interaction is considered or not.
