Abstract :
In the traditional PID control method used in the DC-DC converter control, it is difficult to obtain the optimal parameters of the controller. This paper presents a PID tuning algorithm based on genetic algorithm to optimize the performance of DC-DC converter. Under the PID-PI control structure, a cascade closed-loop control system is designed, which consists of the outer voltage loop and the inner current loop. Then, the genetic algorithm is employed to optimize the parameters of PID controller for voltage loop. Finally, the simulation and experiment results show that, the proposed control algorithm does not depend on precise mathematical model and the whole system is of strong robustness and high reliability.
