Abstract :
In this paper, we present the concept of a PCI-based GPS receiver architecture with the aim of providing a platform for investigating new receiver architectures and algorithms for current and upcoming GNSS receivers. We designed and implemented the RF front end, the baseband signal processing module and the PCI interface circuit, which compose a GNSS receiver. The work of hardware testing was carried out with spectrum analyzer and oscilloscope; the results of hardware testing were analyzed in detail, and the spectrum output whose center frequency is 4.309 MHz was shown in Figure 4. Meanwhile, we introduced the framework of the receiver software. Finally, we did positioning experiment with our produced receiver in East China JiaoTong University, the positioning results were shown in Figure 5, which indicates the performance of the receiver is steady and reliable, and the precision of positioning is satisfactory.
