Abstract :
To control lamp system in vehicle application, the MIPS has been developed. The MIPS is a four channel Intelligent Power Switch (IPS) with low Rdson, autonomous PWM generator, over current and temperature protection functions, current sense diagnosis functions. The embedded PWM generator will reduce the CPU load on the MCU because the periodic switching ON/OFF as well as needed channel phase shift and device phase shift will be performed by MIPS. The MIPS directly controls four bulbs(ex, High beam, Low beam, Tail lamp, Fog lamp) and two external single IPS by external driver. MIPS can control the front lift and right area lamps, turn signals also by up to 10 IPS switches.
