Abstract
The Pohang Light Source (PLS) requires full energy injection of 2-GeV electron beams to be provided by a linac. The PLS linac operates at 2856 MHz with 11 high-power klystrons and 10 pulse compressors. The operating mode is the 2 pi /3-mode for the SLAC-type constant gradient structure. It has three additional beam extraction capabilities for various experiments in the future. Updated design parameters and the construction status of the PLS 2-GeV linac are detailed.<>
