Abstract :
In work the developed electrodynamics model of a snowpack is used. The offered model takes into account average sizes of scatterers (ice grains) and variance of its sizes. The model fits to experiment up to frequencies 150 MHz. Within framework of an offered model the dependencies of scattering and absorption factors of a snow medium from sizes and variance of sizes of ice grains were detected. Connection of indicated structural parameters with a frequent spectrum of own heat radiation of a snow cover is detected. Algorithm of restoring of an average size and magnitudes of a variance of sizes of ice grains from a frequency dependency of snow cover emissivity is offered. The algorithm works for upper (up to 20 sm.) layer of a snowpack. An accuracy of the determination of an average size about 5%. An accuracy of the determination of magnitude of a variance about 10%. The errors are stipulated by two reasons - at first, measurement errors of brightness temperature of a snow, secondly, multimodality of a size cumulative distribution function of ice particles
