Abstract :
Supplier selection is a multiple attribute decision making (MADM) problem. A new method based on TOPIS and 2-tuple linguistic is proposed. Due to the vagueness and imprecision of the decision makers´ judgment, 2-tuple linguistic is introduced to represent and aggregate the linguistic evaluation information of the experts, and then the TOPSIS method is improved to deal with the information in the form of 2-tuples and used to select the best supplier from the alternatives. Finally, the performance of the proposed method is illustrated and validated with a numeric example.
