Abstract
Clustering algorithm can prolong the life time of wireless sensor networks, but cost of reconstruction is large. Energy load imbalance for multi-hop transmission is also a problem. Therefore, this paper proposes a simple uneven rotation clustering (SURC) algorithm to reduce cost of reconstruction and solve problem of hotspots. Besides, nodes in cluster work alternately, further saving energy. The experiment shows that the algorithm not only effective saves energy and solves imbalanced load, but significantly extends the survival time of network.
