Abstract
Streaming media are the real-time, continuous time-based media, adopting the method of true time and stream transmission. Users can download items while playing them. In this kind of Internet network environment which can not guarantee quality of service, congestion and bandwidth shortage become a major bottleneck of the application of streaming media. In this kind of Internet network environment which can not guarantee quality of service, the key of streaming media application is the control mechanism in QoS. Control of QoS can be divided into two categories: based on routes and both ends. Basic ideas of control technology of QoS based on both ends: More data shall be uploaded to enhance broadcast quality when network is in good status, and data which can achieve basic broadcast effect shall be transmitted when network is in bad status. The amount of transmission data can be adjusted dynamically by technology of QoS. This paper mainly analyzes and introduces the relevant streaming media coding technology, QoS control based on the client and QoS control technology based on the server.
