Over the last couple of years, there has bee a proliferatio of GPS devices married to GSM modems used to report the positio of the vehicle back to a control centre, usually via SMS. Although there has bee a good take up of these systems, improvements ca no be made to make the system more robust i everyday usage, hile reducing installatio and on-going costs. GPRS provides a lo cost, high speed, reliable communications link for transmissio of high volumes of data. he used i conjunction ith the latest multi-correlator A-GPS receivers, it produces high sensitivity, high accuracy tracking devices for security and asset tracking applications.
