Abstract
In the paper, simulation analysis program of Three-dimensional finite Element is used to compute two kinds of roller Compacted Concrete Cofferdam projects (the concrete with MgO or not) in order to discuss the characteristic of thermal stress field of the mass concrete with MgO. It is showed that the concrete mixed with MgO can obviously compensate for thermal stress of the foundation restraint section and it is the useful way to simplify temperature control measures and reduce thermal stress. The conclusion may provide important references for the further research on dam construction with concrete with MgO.
