Abstract
The use of space phasor techniques has become a standard procedure for the analysis and development of control strategies for induction motors. The paper investigates the complex nature of the model in this case, and presents a procedure for the solution to the complex differential equations. By using the concept of a complex dynamic system, a transfer function representation is developed and applied to induction motors. As a consequence of the application of complex transfer functions are the compact mathematical model description and even a compact block diagram representation. A solution for simulation procedures is proposed with the aid of the Matlab program
