Abstract :
Under the aegis of the EOSDIS program, NASA´s Synergy program has been exploring the development of applications for users at the state, local and tribal level in the US using remote sensing data in six application sectors. Eleven information centers or InfoMarts have been established during the past two years, and the data sets and products from these InfoMarts are having a significant impact on decision making abilities within their user communities. Selected impacts of the Synergy project and lessons learned are presented.
