Abstract
The half-wavelength AC transmission technology is attracting more and more attentions home and abroad by its unique economic and technological advantages. The paper starts by describing the history and research status of the half-wavelength AC transmission technology, and then sums up the basic transmission characteristics of the technology. This paper carries out a detailed analysis about several key technical issues of the half-wavelength transmission lines, including the artificial half-wavelength transmission line tuning network optimization, the power transmission and transient stability characteristics, the operation and maintenance of the lines, arc characteristics and arc suppression, and internal over-voltage. While carrying out the analysis, there proposes future development direction of the half-wavelength transmission technology and a number of related reference recommendations are given.
