Abstract :
The accurate, real-time data collection of sidescan sonar imagery is of the utmost importance to an ocean floor survey. However, if the bottom is inaccurately tracked, beam patterns overwhelm the data, or ping dropouts occur, there must be a means of repairing the sonar imagery in post processing. The result of these enhancement techniques presented improve data positioning and the appearance of the overall mosaic
