Abstract :
As prospecting has become an increasingly difficult activity, it is gradually developing towards a method of metallogenic prognosis with Multi-information that comprehensively integrates geological, geophysical, geochemical and remote sensing data. MapGIS has become an effective tool for the inside multi-information retrieval and integration, as well as metallogenic prognosis with diversifying information. In the process of metallogenic prognosis with MapGIS it will be carried out on the basis of summary of regional metallogenetic regularity and under the guidance of metallogenic theory. Data acquisition, geological unit division and abstraction of diversifying prospecting information including geological, geophysical, geochemical and remote-sensing data can be implemented by MapGIS, so as to analyze metallogenic favorability degree, delimitate favorable prospecting sections and realize metallogenic prognosis.
